Well. my Operating System is Windows Xp Home Edition.... AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00GHz... 3.00 GB of RAM.... Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS overglocked 320 GGR 3 Ram... Sound Blaster X- Fi Extreme Gamer Edition...800 Gb of diskspace..... .. I Think that my computer has to go faster than it is right now... when i open up windows it takes it About 5 seconds to open it. when it should be instantly opened...

my Comp is spyware and virus free.. i do maintenance every week.. but its still slow... what do you think is happening? please help

The problem is in the first line of your post: Microsoft Windows.

Grab a copy of Ubuntu (free, and in more ways than just money). You won't look back. Unless, of course, you are like me and can't stand the default look of it. In that case, you might look back for a second. That second being the time it takes you to click system-preferences-windows, therefore fixing the flaw. ;)

You could have corrupted your Windows registry. Try installing PCTools Registry Mechanic - download a free review at www.download.com...
May be you should take out some software when it begin
The problem is that you are using MicroSlop Windoze. You should get rid of it as fast as possible and get a Macintosh.
Or give the computer to meeeeeee!!!!
