This detection covers WMF files attempting to exploit a Windows vulnerability. This can result in arbitrary code execution; meaning that any number of events may subsequently take place on a compromised system.

Microsoft has released a patch for the vulnerability attacked by Exploit-WMF, see: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/securit...
SO, are you keeping your Microsoft Updates Up to date? True Microsoft programmes do seem very vulnerable, but that is partly because the virus writers out there target Microsoft. IN thier defense Microsoft do issue patches and updates as these vulnerabilities are found. It is up to each user to make sure they install these patches as and when they are issued.

Delete avg.Good Luck
Go here and run the online scan http://www.bitdefender.com/ it will hammer any nasties it finds
Also just to add it is important that you are not running 2 anti virus programs side by side, it can cause major problems.

If it's in the AVG vault, delete it or empty the vault. It won't be returned to your computer, it will be removed.
go to your vault and click heel then delete it
I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
