Computer Virus help?

Ok here are my computer's symptoms

Running realllly slow (like taking 5 minutes to open on webpage)

When the screen saver comes on, it needs to be restarted because it wont leave the screen saver.

I am not sure whats going on with it, but if you have any free virus or spyware or whatever you may think is wrong with it, programs please let me know.

Unlikely to be a virus and more likely to be just junk in the OS or spyware.

Thankfully both can be fixed fairly easily.

Get the google pack (loads of links online or http://mybranding.info/googlepack.php if you cannot find it) Install and then run the Spyware Doctor (all free.)

Then

Get cc cleaner - again, loads of links online or http://mybranding.info/free.php. Run and you will now be clean.

Restart and all should be well!

After deleting (not moving to trash can) the file, it goes nowhere. Just the first bit of the data is deleted making it un-recognizable..

What do you mean how come after you close a window the history is different

You can delete your Internet History all you want.. Or what History are you talking about?

And AVG is a GREAT Anti-Virus Product, they also have Spyware stuff too

Wow, you guys really don't know what the hell you are talking about.. "Delete" in the real terms means to bypass your recycling bin, and delete it perm. You can do this by holding down the shift key and pressing delete on a file.

Moving to the recycle bin, puts it in a repository where many files are typically waiting to be deleted :o)

after delete either you file goto recycle bin or permanently delete.

history is diffrent when you remove files or open new files.

you have to closed folder/application in order to delete history.

Hey ummm plz no bad remarks but I need help getting this viruse out of the computer! try to go into your add/remove programs section and see if its in there if not you'll either have to buy something to remove it or defrag your computer.

spybot search %26 detroy and Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal are pretty good free wares. Avg %26 Spy Sweeeper are extremely good commercial anti spywares, but since you have kaspesky Internet security suite the 2 free anti-spyware will be sufficient. Kaspersky is superb.

i use spysweeper, however my sister and dad both use the software provided by microsoft, it is free if you have xp or vista, it is free so you can give it a try, it works pretty well, i would use it along with spybot and ad aware.

My computer has been infected with a trojan virus, how will i get rid of it i have only just installed norton anti virus after i got the virus but it hasnt removed it and i dont know what to do. I dont want to spend another fortune on another anti virus disc. Norton will remove most virus but I know it will not remove vundo trojan.

run the scan find the file and trojan name. search for the patch on the norton website. they will have the patch for removing that virus with all the instructions.

Well, try deleting the cookie files and the temporary internet files. To do that you have to click Start, then right click your Internet explorer then go to properties then click delete and delete all. That usually works for internet viruses. Then run your virus scan again and see if you have it. If you are useing Mozilla Fire fox, open it then go to TOOLS then click clear private data. Hope this works

look on keyboard for num lock key and press it, for the keypad to work. should be located on the keypad.

start/run/msconfig/start up tab/uncheck uneccessary programing's from starting up when comp is booted.

to speed up pages loading delete temp file's by control panel/ network and internet connection's/internet option's/ delete file's and cookies along with offline pages.

also to help it run better and smoother defrag comp.

start/all programs/accessories/system tool's/ defrag

avg or avast for a good free anti virus software.
